Montague Harbor to Clam Bay...

Sunday, July 21, 2002

We left Montague Harbor at around 9:00. We motored up a ways and decided to put up the main sail. With the main sail up and motoring as well we were up to 7+ knots. Then we thought to roll the dice and see what was out in Strait of Georgia through Porlier Pass between Valdes and Galiano Island. We found out, big waves, and nasty currents, we got tossed about like a rag doll. It was a real hoot! Unfortunately, there were a few items not battened down in the aft cabin, so quiet a bit was tossed about. We made it back in safely into Trincomali Channel where things were a bit calmer. We motored to Clam Bay off of Thetis and Kuper Island where we dropped anchored and stayed the night.
