Hallket Bay to Windy Bay...

Thursday, July 25, 2002

We met a man in Hallket Bay who built his own sailboat back in 1973. He was from Sarina, Victoria and currently was running charters on his boat. He was nice enough to give David some medicine for his rib and back pain. We did get a little sailing in today as we passed back over the Strait of Georgia to Windy Bay. The waters here are anything but calm, and it seems we are in for a restless night of sleep. We are held in place by the plow anchor on the bow, an anchor into the rocks on our port side, and an anchor taken all the way to shore coming off the aft. The mosquitoes are eating us alive, and we are all hoping to survive through the night.

If you look real close you can see the rowboat on the shore and can follow the anchor line up to the beach. I wondered around the little beach in hopes of finding treasure, but all I found were dirty tennis balls and empty liquor bottles.
