The Journey Begins for the Sergeant Lewis...
Saturday, June 30, 2002
This is where it all begins, the maiden voyage of the Sergeant Lewis. My name is Craig, the son of David. David is the man who built the Sergeant Lewis. Me, I'm just the pizza delivery boy, I'm just along for the ride; however, I did make the web page, so the narration will come from my angle. We left port in Scappoose, Oregon at 8:05 and began to motor down the Columbia River. We managed to have the sail up a few times, but for the most part the winds were against us. We stopped in Astoria at 20:15, but only to drop off passengers. The remaining crew motored across to Ilwaco where we docked for the night at about midnight. The only souls brave enough to take this craft to the ocean were David, Glenn, Craig, and myself. There are two Craigs.

Here we are looking back on the Longview bridge. Longview, WA.
